In January 2008, after a long and exhaustive battle, Stephen J. Kunitsky, 25, lost his life to cancer. The Stephen J Kunitsky Fund was started to help Steve repay his astronomical medical bills, and now, as per Steve’s wishes, will continue and help others in similar situations.
